Alrighty guys...first of all, OUTSTANDING job at the match last night...great atmosphere, people are starting to catch on to the songs, the weather is getting good finally and people ALL over town are talking about this. We can make this thing huge. Agreed that longer songs definitely take a long time to learn and get right which is why we havent tried them yet, but as everyone agrees...with time it will come. That being said, in order to enhance the gameday experience and get louder and crazier, we are looking for one more capo so that we can push the songs and chants down to the far end of the supporters section. If you or anyone you know is interested, please send info (name, contact number etc) to cooperscapo@gmail.com and i will respond as fast as possible! Thanks guys, cant wait to see everyone on Saturday!

It's not a 1 liner, but it is relatively simple and it's a tune I think everybody knows... When 7 goes charging down the wing... Kadeem... Kadeem When 7 goes charging down the wing... Kadeem... Kadeem When 7 goes charging down the wing... All the Coopers stand and sing Kadeem Dacres is gonna score a goal Na na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na Kadeem Dacres is gonna score a goal He's my favorite, and I fcuking LOVE this song! YESSSSSSS!

Are we going to sing Happy Birthday to Charlie when he comes on the field? Maybe have the announcer say something?

Just spitballin' here, what if we did a rendition of Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water?
[to the main guitar riff]
Lou-a-vull Louisville Ci-ty Lou-a-vull- Ci-ty
[Chorus 3X] Smoke on the Wa-ter Purple til I die!

Need some help with this one. To the tune of Que Sera sera:
Mike Magee Magee The kings cup is ours you see You can't help St. Louis FC Mike Magee Magee
A lot of potential here. Think of the possibilities!
Something about six figure salary? A Jab at his hip injury? Former MVP?

In the theater of my mind's eye, this kicks off at FT with a win over St Louis...
It's more than a feeling
More than a feeling
When I see how Elsie played
More than a feeling
And I begin dreaming
More than a feeling
'Til the Louligans walk away
I see the Louligans walkin' away

First idea for a Juan Guzman song...
To the tune of "Da Doo Ron Ron"
Who's the greatest player in the USL?
It's you, Juan Juan Juan! It's you, Juan Juan!
Who's the man who runs the show in the midfield?
It's you, Juan Juan Juan! It's you, Juan Juan!
Ooooooooh Juan Guzman!
Heeeeeeey Juan Guzman!
Ooooooooh Juan Guzman!
It's you, Juan Juan Juan! It's you, Juan Juan!
(admittedly borrowed from United fans' song for Juan Mata)

Purple and white or purple and gold? Either one really. The supporters tend to wear purple and gold but the team colors the actual kit is white

I really like the one that arose at the Chicago game, not least because it's on one of our banners.
WE ARE THE LAW WE ARE THE LAW WE ARE THE LAW L. C. F. C.
I've been considering a place for it and it dawned on me Saturday that it's a great one to use after the enemy draws a red or yellow.

A friend of mine has been to a few games now and sent me a few suggestions.
He (thirds? fourths?) "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode, but came up with some alternate lyrics:
When I see you City I go outta my head I just can’t get enough I just can’t get enough All the things you do to me And all the things you’ve said I just can’t get enough I just can’t get enough We slip and slide and we fall in love And I just can’t seem to get enough of you.
du - du - du-du-du - du-du du - du - du-du-du - du-du du - du - du-du-du - du-du L - C - F - C
du - du - du-du-du - du-du du - du - du-du-du - du-du du - du - du-du-du - du-du L - C - F - C
-----------------
He also suggested the chorus to Hey Jude, which I think we already did at a match (na na na na na.......Ci-ty!)
-----------------
I Can’t Help (Falling In Love With You - UB40 / Elvis)
Wise men say only fools rush in But I can’t help falling in love with you Take my hand, take my whole life too But I can’t help falling in love with you
I think this is a good moderate-tempo song we can do, pretty much everyone knows the words and tune, and it doesn't have to plod.
----------------
Take me home (Tune of Country Roads)
Take me home River road To the place I belong Down to Slugger To see City Take me home River Road
-------------
Build Us Up (Build Me Up Buttercup)
You always build us up (build us up) Louisville City, you don’t let us down (let us down) Or mess us around And then best of all (best of all) You allways win baby cause we know you will (know you will) And we love you still We love you (We love you) More than anything darlin You know that we have from the start Build us up, Louisville, you won’t break our heart
----------------
I also personally would like to suggest the short song "Kentucky Bourbon" by the semi-local group Murder by Death.
There are many choices in this life that we don't get to make Like who's your pa, and where you're from and when the leaves are down, it's time to rake But you can choose your drinkin partner and mine ain't from Tennessee. Yes, it's straight Kentucky Bourbon for me Oh, it's sweet Kentucky Bourbon for me

Throwing this one out there
Matt Fondy chant to the tune of Sweet Caroline
Where it began, I can't begin to knowin' But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring And spring became the summer Who'd have believed you'd come along.
Goals, bangin' goals Kickin' out, torchin' them, torchin' teams <-----(may need reworked here)
Matt Fondy (ba ba ba) Good goals never seemed so good (so good so good) (Repeat this 2x)

To the tune of Drunken Sailor. It can be a bit raunchy, but since we said Callahan has the Clap, I figured it would be okay. The team in the chorus can be changed to literally any other team.
Oh, what do you do with a Richmond Player? What do you do with a Richmond Player? What do you do with a Richmond Player early in the morning?
Oh, Shave his belly with a rusty razor? Shave his belly with a rusty razor? Shave his belly with a rusty razor early in the morning?
Oh, Throw him in the bed with the Coach's daughter? Throw him in the bed with the Coach's Daughter? Throw him in the bed with the Coach's Daughter early in the morning?
Oh, Fill him with Bourbon till he throws up? Fill him with Bourbon till he throws up? Fill him with Bourbon till he throws up early in the morning?
Oh, Make him do pushups till we're tired? Make him do pushups till we're tired? Make him do pushups till we're tired early in the morning?
This is a cover of the opening verse and chorus of Great Big Sea's River Driver:
It was the first ever year when I joined the Supporter's Group, After one hell of a season, I sat and had to recoup, I courted with ole' Louisville, from her I'll never roam, For now we're in the play offs, and we'll bring that Trophy home!
We'll drink when we are hungry, we'll drink when we are dry! Get Drunk whenever we're ready, get drunker by and by! Oh, this game will kill me, but from her I'll never roam, For now we're in the play offs, and we'll bring that trophy home!
