With the Copa Libertadores coming up very soon, I was wondering if anyone else follows any of the South American Club teams, and if so, who?
Personally, I am a big Boca Juniors fan, have been serious about them for 4-5 years now.

I've never gotten in to South American clubs, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't. Do you know if any games are ever on tv? And if so, what leagues/countries?

There are a lot on GolTV and on BEin Sport - neither of which I get. I know there is Uruguayan league regularly, and Copa Libertadores. I tend to stream from questionable online sources...

I don't get those either. With my provider you have to pay $20 extra for the EspaƱola package to get those. Online streaming from questionable sources it is then! Any recommendations on which teams would be good to follow?

I'd never take it upon myself to tell anyone who to follow *cough cough Boca*. Watch a bit, and see who you like. The leagues all have different things going on. I like the steel of the Argentine and Uruguayan leagues most, personally. Penarol and Nacional are the big sides there (cue dozens of Defensor Sporting fans coming out of the woodwork), while there are tons of former Libertadores winners in Argentina, San Lorenzo the most recent, and River Plate the most detestable. Brazil has kind of been in a fugue state for about 15 years, IMO, but their players are paid on average 4 times the next best paid players on the continent (in Argentina), so in theory the quality is better, but they are not dominating nearly as much as they should.

This is the list of teams in this year's Copa Libertadores - an excellent guide to Conmebol club football. Have a look, and try to tune in when the tournament starts:

Thanks for the link. I'll have to give this a good look. Considering the tournament starts tomorrow, nows as good of time as any to start following a team.
