So with the season fast approaching, I'm in search of some good tifo ideas. So what better than to ask for them in here?
The guidelines are simple:
1) Nothing Offensive. If you have to ask, don't do it.
2) Needs to be able to be created by 1 person in an 8 hour day. The idea is to have a whole lot of people paint these up, but worst comes to worse, it needs to be relatively simple enough that one person could do it by themselves. As much as I'd like to do a recreation of Washington Crosses the Delaware with LC players heads, it's just too complicated.
3) Needs to be relevant. The subject must be either LCFC or a (non-offensive) shot at our rivals.
We will be painting one up before the LCFC friendly against UofL, so get your ideas in now! Eventually, I'll put my ideas up here.

i plan to be there on Sunday. Why dont we just have a sign for 200 proof, or Coopers for the Louisville match. Let the City know we are here. I think we need a tifo of a bat signal for as long as Adam West is on our squad. just some thoughts really quick off the top of my head.

We couldn't be there today, but want to definitely get in on this. What was discussed so far? What are we looking for in terms of size? Are there any limitations?

Augustus said he would post what we talked about, on the boards tomorrow, I think. Make sure he has your e-mail address. We covered quite a bit.

Something to consider is that when the USL rebranded, they also started using the slogan "USL Rising" - we got an awesome submission on twitter that, if tweaked, would have a great chance of featuring prominently in any media the USL puts out. Maybe change "Rise" to "Rising"? USL also has the slogan "We Are United", so maybe that's another route we can go. I have a sneaking suspicion this was talked about at the meeting...

Songs 1. My Old Kentucky Home is the song that we will sing during the handshake and kickoff. It will only be the first verse and chorus. If we time it right we should end the chorus just as the ball is kicked off. We’ll try to work with the club to see if we can make this happen. 2. We will trial signing the chorus to My Old Kentucky Home repeatedly during stoppage. If it works, we’ll keep doing it. If not, no big deal. 3. We will be asking the club if we can put songs sheets in the programs, and have the words placed on the big screens before the game. 4. The 1st Goal Scorer for LCFC during the season opener will have a song made for them, either on the fly at the moment, or by the next day. If said scorer is Matt Fondy or Adam West, who already have songs, we’ll make one for scorer #2. 5. The Goodbye Song (Na-Na-Na-Na, Hey-Hey-Hey, Good-Bye!) will be sung upon opponent red cards. 6. When we score, if the goal scorer doesn’t have a song of their own, a verse of the song Purple Haze will be sung. I’ll be posting the (cleaned up) lyrics on the board, as well as all of the other songs. 7. We have been told that we would be able to use the 3rd base dugout for the head capo and drummer to stand and lead chants and songs. We are going to confirm this.
Tifo
1. The first tifo will be painted. It will be 15’ by 30’. The whole tifo will be purple, with the state of Kentucky centered in the middle, the Coopers logo in the upper left corner, the Louisville city logo in the Bluegrass/Appalachian region, and the words UNITED WE STAND underneath the state, with the I in UNITED being replaced by a barrel. I intend on procuring the material to do this shortly. 2. We will check with the stadium to see about painting the tifo in the hallway next to Against the Grain. 3. We will check with the club about doing a card display. This will more than likely be very pricy, so we may need financial assistance. Anyone with connections in the sign or print industry who could make us a connection as far as sponsorship would be much appreciated. 4. We will be approaching Oates Flag Company on a quote for the two supporters’ flags that were submitted to the board. 5. Once we have a venue and a date for tifo painting, we will let everyone know via Facebook, Twitter, and our events page.

So we just got word back that we can't paint at Slugger Field, so we're going to need to find another venue.

United We Stand, is on our state motto. an interesting association and play on words. . .we can make something happen here!

I (and Derrick) have PDF files of the Coopers logo... I think his sister might have a vectorized version.

Here is a little Tifo I made for our (majority) owner Wayne Estopinal, might be better as a two pole rather than a full on Tifo. This is just the concept, obviously I need to edit it a bit.

I feel that for the last home game, we should lend our thanks to the players and our fearless leader (not you, Kim). I feel like they deserve it for all the hard work they have put in for us to enjoy. They have started the legacy, defied the expectations of a first-year club, and helped bring out the soccer passion that this city has. They shook up the world, surely they have to be the Greatest.
